Are you hoping to save money this year? I’m sure that you are probably looking for ways to save money in 2022. As life and the world changes we need to adjust how we budget and save money. It can be a difficult goal to achieve, but with these five tips, you’ll find it much easier. By making and sticking to a budget you will help eliminate some of the stress that money can bring to our lives.
What is easier is more likely to be accomplished I have found. So these easy ways to save money in 2022 might seem like common sense or really simple. That is on purpose though.
You may be overspending by making simple mistakes and overlooking easy ways to save money. If you are struggling with your finances it’s time to go over what you’ve been doing and try some new ways that will hopefully help you save big.

Creating and following a budget is one of the easiest ways to start saving money. When you have a plan for your spending, you are less likely to overspend on unnecessary items.
So if you live alone or are single get to work on a budget for you or your family. If you are in a relationship make a budget together. (related post: How to talk about money without fighting) Figure out your expenses and what you bring in and where all your money should go.
Tip #02: Make food and Drinks at home
One of the easiest ways to save money is by packing your own lunch instead of buying food from restaurants or convenience stores. Not only will you save money, but you’ll also be eating healthier!
Another easy way to save money is by bringing your own coffee to work instead of buying it from the cafe. By making your coffee at home, you’ll save money and get the added benefit of knowing exactly what’s in your drink!
It’s so easy to go over on your food budget for the month and without realizing it all those little coffee and takeout charges add up to big amounts of money being spent.
Making lunches and coffee at home will help you to really cut down on those costs. If like me you could drink iced coffee all year long then get yourself one of these coffee chillers. I got myself one for Christmas and I love it. I can pour hot coffee in it and have iced coffee in seconds. Which is how I love to drink it.
Tip #03: Shop around for the best deals/use coupons
One of the easiest ways to save money is by shopping around for the best deals. Compare prices online and at different stores before making a purchase.
Also make sure you look for coupons or promo codes especially when shopping online. I like using the Honey Extension on Google. It automatically will look for coupons for websites I’m shopping on. This is a great way to save a little extra on things.
Using Honey has saved me a lot of money when buying stuff online, It is so simple. It pops up and you click a button and it looks for coupons. This saved me a ton especially when Holiday shopping.
Tip #04: Make money at home online.
Millions of people are earning money from their homes by working online and getting paid through paypal or direct deposit into their bank account. There are a lot of different options to choose from but there’s no need for you to be one of them.
This is one of the reasons I enjoy blogging. It allows me to make a little extra income from home. If you are looking to make money blogging, just know that it can take time and it definitely is work but blogging is enjoyable and a good source of extra money.
Tip #05: Lower your housing costs by moving to a cheaper city or town.
You don’t need to live in the big metropolis of New York City (or any other expensive city) if you want to make money at home online and save money over all.
